Protect Your Skin When Hiking: Trilipiderm Protective Day Crème

Trilipiderm Protective Day CremeOne of the most critical items that you need to take with you hiking is sunscreen. It does not matter the weather conditions…in fact, I have found that on winter hikes I am even more prone to sunburns because of the reflection of the sun’s rays on the bright white snow!

As many Hiking Lady readers know, I always prefer products that are the most natural with the fewest chemicals. Trilipiderm is a brand of skincare products that are paraben, mineral oil, petrolatum, gluten and cruelty-free. Since being introduced to Trilipiderm Broad Spectrum SPF 30 with Vitamin D a few years ago, I have used the product exclusively. Why do I like it so much? Besides the fact that the ingredients are safe and do not irritate my skin, it goes on smoothly, it doesn’t get white residue everywhere (like most other sunblocks, including Aveeno), and it blocks out most UVA and UVB rays.

Trilipiderm has a new product called Trilipiderm Protective Day Crème, which offers the benefits of a non-greasy SPF 30 sunblock. Just like the Trilipiderm Broad Spectrum SPF 30 that I have been using now for a few years, it is lightweight and non-greasy. I hate greasy sunblocks and ones that leave white residue. Trilipiderm has solved that problem, and made a wonderful product.

The Trilipiderm Protective Day Crème is a facial moisturizer that you should apply before your hike, and reapply if you’re out for a long day or multi-day trip. Remember to apply it to your arms too if you’re not wearing a UPF rated long sleeve shirt as I prefer to do.

In addition to sunscreen, there are other essential items such as a broad brimmed hat, UPF apparel, and more that you should wear to protect your skin when hiking. Read all about it here in my article Save Your Skin!

Specs of Trilipiderm Protective Day Crème

  • Benefits: Non-greasy, absorbs quickly, does not irritate sensitive skin (especially mine!).
  • Extra benefits besides SPF protection: Enriched with vitamins A, C, D and E to maintain healthy skin metabolism all day long, and contains Medasynnian™, Trilipiderm’s proprietary composition of essential fatty acid lipids (Omega 3 and Omega 6). Vitamin D can help to replenish what’s lost by use of sun block.
  • Wrinkle removal?: Apparently the Trilipiderm Protective Day Crème can help lessen wrinkles, but I haven’t seen this benefit yet. I’ll let you know in a couple of years 🙂 !
  • Pricing: $40.00
