Vasque Blur Trail Running Shoes

Women's Vasque Blur Trail Running Shoes

Yesterday at my local REI used gear sale I picked up a pair of these Vasque Blurs in almost mint condition for just $30! (I don’t want to boast but that was a STEAL!)

I love my Vasque Kotas but for the price I couldn’t pass up having a new pair of Vasque shoes. My Vasque Kotas are more of a Low-Top Hiking Shoe, whereas these Vasque Blurs are better for trail running, not walking.

Since I have narrow feet, Vasques are my go-to brand for hiking shoes. These shoes are lightweight, and they’re waterproof!

The lugsoles are designed to offer excellent traction, and the gusseted tongue keeps dirt and rocks out. The insoles that come with the shoes are good, but I still replaced them with a pair of Superfeet insoles for better support and stability.

My biggest complaint? The model I picked up has a Gore-Tex lining. Don’t get me wrong, I love Gore-Tex. However, since I live in drought stricken Southern California I rarely encounter mud or rain. The Gore-Tex makes the shoes a bit hot on sweltering 90 degree plus days!

Overall, the Vasque Blurs are great trail running shoes that I’ll be using during my weeknight trail runs.

I have a pair of Keens that I’m trying out but the heels are slipping. The Vasque Kota doesn’t seem to be available anywhere online. Have you found a good substitute for them? I have narrow heels and orthotics for plantar fasciitis, but like a bit of room in the toe box. These will be my first real hiking shoe as I’ve been wearing everyday running shoes for trail walking.

That’s an awesome deal! My wife has a pair that are her favorite shoes ever, but she needs a new pair and I’ve been looking everywhere them. If they’re a size 8 or 8 1/2, I would totally buy them!!!!
