I’m really excited about this because Wilderness First Aid is something every hiker should know!
What happens if someone you’re hiking with breaks their leg? Or cuts their leg on a rock? Or gets bitten by a snake?
The $200 cost for the 2 day (16 hour) Wilderness First Aid Class with Wilderness Medicine Institute is pretty much inline to the low side of what I’ve seen for local wilderness first aid 2-3 day classes.
Here is the list of REI stores around the U.S. that are offering the classes.
Has anyone been to one of these classes? I’m looking for reviews without much success.
Sure thing, Archie! No word back yet…
Thanks Hiking Lady, Let me know if you hear anything. I’ll try to contact them also.
Great question, Archie. On the website it is listed as “coming soon” to the Philadelphia/Conshohocken REI. I’ll contact REI and see what they say. 🙂
Will there be a wilderness first aid course at the Philadelphia/Conshohocken REI in the near future?
