What is one essential all mothers need when changing their baby? Diaper wipes! If you are an active mom who likes going places with your little one, then diaper wipes are a must have. Since I like the best for Hiking Baby, I look for products with organic, non-toxic ingredients. So what is better, Honest or Babyganics baby wipes?
The last thing I want when I’m headed out on a hike or long walk with my baby is a messy diaper change. I pop open the trunk door of my SUV and change Hiking Baby on my waterproof Weathertech mat. Wipes that clean well and are non-toxic are essential!
In the spirit of full disclosure, I have purchased both Honest and Babyganics brands with my own funds, and Honest Company offered to send me another pack to try. What wipes win hands down? My unbiased answer is Honest Company wipes.
Here’s why:
Honest vs. Babyganics Baby Wipes
- Honest Company wipes are much thicker than Babyganics wipes. I noticed this difference immediately. Babyganics wipes are thinner and smaller.
- Honest wipes don’t have any odor, and definitely seem all natural. Babyganics had a slight perfume smell, despite being odor free.
- The Babyganics wipes don’t dispense well in my Prince Lionheart Travel wipe warmer! Yes, Hiking Baby is spoiled with warmed wipes, but he’s only a baby once!
Cost per wipe?
Babyganics wipes are way cheaper than the Honest Co. wipes. They come in a 72 pack vs. 100 count pack. However, I tend to need to use at least twice as many Babyganics wipes on my little one’s bottom during a diaper change compared to the Honest Co. wipes.
At Amazon, you can buy a 4 pack of 100-count Babyganics wipes for $12.50, which is $0.03 per wipe.
Honest Co. wipes can also be purchased in a 4 pack at Amazon for $26.49. Each pack has 72 wipes, so each wipe costs $0.09.
Despite the extra cost, I would recommend the Honest Co. wipes. Additionally, you can get deals on Honest Co. wipes if you buy a bundle through the Honest Co. website. For $79.95 less a $20 coupon (or $59.95) you can get 6 packs of diapers and 4 packs of wipes in a monthly bundle. Just note they will keep sending you product until you cancel your subscription.
Happy trails!
I have personally used baby wipes on myself my entire life, and my husband now likes them too and couldn’t imagine going back to toilet paper. I haven’t used Babyganics, but Honest wipes are my own preferred wipe. They have a better grip. I use them on our baby too. Pampers are the worst, they’re like wet dryer sheets. Once they’re folded, they’re useless, because they don’t stay folded. Huggies are the default wipes I’ll fall back on.
