Keeping Comfortable Post-Hike

First comes the excitable anticipation of the hike: conducting your research, checking the weather reports, and sorting your gear. Then comes the hike itself, whether it be a casual, exciting or slightly further-afield hike (such as the trails suggested in my previous posts), all feelings are relatively the same: the quench of the fresh air, breathtaking views, and a social experience like no other.

Hopefully you would have kitted yourself out properly for the hike, hitting the right blend of catering for the likely weather eventualities whilst not packing the kitchen sink, but most importantly, remaining comfortable throughout.

So what about after your hike? If you are anything like me and my mantra of ‘work hard, play hard, rest hard’, staying comfortable post-hike and indulging in the reminiscence and some good food gets me (nearly) as excited as the main event itself.

The portal to feeling good after such an intense exertion is staying comfortable. This means finding the right gear which is going to keep you secure, warm, and maybe even cozy; all good feelings which will help your body recover.

The North Face’s range of travel clothing have all the attributes which can double up as perfect post hike gear, like cotton plaid shirts and loosely fit trousers. But let’s not forget the most important part of your heavily worked-out anatomy; your feet.

With the colder weather approaching, be sure to keep yourself covered and comfortable after your adventures, you have earned it!
