Believe it or not, but I’ve been using Merrell running shoes on my paddle board, for traction.
I’ve used Merrell’s for 10+ years and NEVER have had a problem. From day trips to multi-day backpacking treks my Merrell’s have never let me down.

I just bought the Merrell Pace Glove shoe. Looks similar to the M-Connect line and is barefoot inspired. It is seriously one of the most comfortable shoes I have had. Great for running, walking or light hiking. Great colours too.
