I love dried blueberries!
Blueberries and blackberries! (And the occasional Jolly Rancher.)
Yum! I am a big fan of Trader Joe’s Turkey Jerky, but I’m sure homemade beef jerky is even better!
Favorite trail snack? Home-made beef jerky!
Hello Hiking Lady,
I really like your new logo ๐
Donna
@Danielle – I am the same way. Whatever I have left over in the pantry I toss into my GORP. I haven’t tried toffee nuts yet, but that sounds good! I’ve mixed almonds, cranberries, chocolate chips, and even dried edamame into my GORP!
Homemade GORP: Honey nut Cherrios, Toffee nuts, & cranberries (though I’ll admit – it’s different every time. It kinda depends on what I’m in the mood for while shopping and what’s in the house!
Smoked almonds. Crunchy, smoky, salty, yum! Washed down with the “yellow flavored” Gatorade, ha. I have no idea what it’s really supposed to be.
I like a nut mixture that includes almonds, cashews, peanuts, macadamia nuts (if they are affordable), raisins, dried cranberries, dried cherries (if they are affordable) and candied ginger.
Lara Bars are great! I like those too. And the cheddar cheese goldfish… yum!
GORP, 1/2 a Lara Bar, gold fish crackers, and Fritos…weird, but true!
Love almonds and cranberries.
I love your suggestion of adding dark chocolate chips to GORP! Yum!!
Love GORP, beef jerky, granola bars, chunk cheese for a treat! I’ve added the dark choc chips to GORP as well as dried cranberries, yummy!
I like your additions, Janet! I’ve added milk chocolate chips before. I’ve learned my lesson to not try that when it is too hot out. ๐
I agree! Gorp is awesome. I add some Reeses PB, and White Choc.Chips to it as well. Yummy!
Good Old Raisins and Peanuts are always good! Thanks for sharing Belinda!
My favorite trail snack is GORP!!!
