I camped to Catalina with my friends last year and it was awesome. The scenic views and the boating experience is so perfect. Actually, I am planning to go back there next year together with my family.

Yes! I have camped on Catalina. I camped at Two Harbors, which is right at the isthmus. You can take the boat to either Two Harbors or Avalon, so I chose the Two Harbors option on my camping trip. The campsite is just above the water so it is wonderful to have the waves lull you to sleep at night. From Two Harbors there are numerous areas to hike, kayak, and dive.
Catalina was my second guess. Haven’t been hiking on Catalina in a couple of years. Beautiful boat ride and beautiful island. Have you camped on Catalina? That’s my next plan.
Very good guess Rhonda! The Channel Islands technically do include Catalina Island, where I took this photo last fall. However, the Channel Islands generally refers to the national park that includes the islands of Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, and Santa Barbara.
