Take a Hike, Climb a Mountain, Run a Marathon – All to Help Children in Africa with AIDS

Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up

Looking for a way to challenge yourself and raise money for a good cause? An organization called Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up encourages people to create their own charity challenges and raise money for African children with AIDS.

There are hiking events, rock climbing events, biking challenges, mountaineering expeditions, and more! And you can even plan your own event. They already have a series of events being held in rock climbing gyms across the country and there is an expedition of Nike employees climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in September!

You can find events to participate in or set up your own event! Perhaps those of you hiking the John Muir Trail or sections of the Pacific Crest Trail want to consider using this platform as a way to raise awareness of your hike and benefit a good cause.

Happy trails!

I’ve been considering raising funds for them with our upcoming JMT trip. I only recently heard of the organization, but it seems like a great cause.
