As you probably saw in my blog post a couple of months ago, Touching the Void is an amazing and hard to believe story of two young mountaineers who came face to face with death in the Peruvian Andes.
While I prefered the book to the movie, the movie has the added benefit of interviews and narration from Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, as they relive the adventure from their youth.

I finally got to see North Face the movie. It is currently on a roaming tour around the U.S. I guess it hit Europe last year since it is a German film. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂
It’s a classic movie, and does the story justice. They also did a follow up movie The Beckoning Silence which is also good. Plus have a look at North Face, also a very good movie.
