Nature: Extreme Lands of the Americas

If you ever tune into Nature on PBS or the BBC, you’ll know what I’m talking about when I say this film is a stunning view into the amazing planet we live on.

This DVD set includes a double feature: 1) Andes: The Dragon’s Back and 2) Life in Death Valley. South America is on my dream list of places to explore, and watching this made me want to go more than ever.

The film showcases the beauty and mystery of the 5,000 mile long Andes mountains: home to an abundance of wildlife, glaciers, the driest desert in the world, volcanoes, rainforests, and stunning mountain peaks that are rising higher at a rate much faster than the Himalayas.

The second feature is equally amazing, showing the extremes of Death Valley and living examples of Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory.
