A friend of mine bought these pants before I got mine, and one day when we encountered rain on the last hour of a hike, I was impressed by how quickly she was able to zip them on over her boots and hiking pants.
Because the Marmot PreCip pants have a zipper that goes all the way down to the ankles, you don’t have to take your boots off. I find that I don’t even need to sit down to get them on. I just unzip the legs, wrap them around my hiking pants, then zip them right up.
