Soon the leaves will change, the outdoors will get cooler, and it will be time to take more layers with you out on the trail. One of my favorite brands, Royal Robbins, has a stellar line-up of Fall Fleeces, which I got to test out on my recent trip to Yosemite National Park!
Royal Robbins and Yosemite are nearly synonymous. Royal Robbins was one of the pioneers of American rock climbing, and for those of you head to Yosemite National Park and learn about the history of rock climbing, you’ll hear his name quite a bit. He is a legend, and in 1968 founded this apparel company with his wife. Since then, the company continues to develop stylish and functional outdoor clothing. They have a broad line of lifestyle apparel as well as more technical, on-trail styles.
Hiking Lady’s Favorite Fleeces from the Royal Robbins Fall 2015 Women’s Collection:
- Rosa Jacket. This fleece zip up jacket is arguably the most stylish fleece I’ve ever worn on and off the trail. Unlike the typical fleece jacket or pullover, the design of the Rosa Jacket is full of detail, making it look elegant. It is extremely practical too. While some of you may shy away from white and creme colored clothes in the outdoors, this fleece is machine washable, and it looks just as great after washing as it did brand new. I highly recommend this fleece jacket!
- Rosa 1/4 Zip Jacket. Given how much I like the Rosa Jacket, testing the Rosa 1/4 Zip made sense as well…The styling is similar to the fleece on the jacket, with fine detail, and the main difference is that it is a pullover. I prefer wearing a 1/4 Zip Fleece like this on really cool days when I am likely to have it on most of the day. It is harder to take off 1/4 Zip tops versus full zip jackets.
