Want to protect your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays? This Coolibar shirt does just that, and a whole lot more.
The Coolibar Travel shirt has breathable panels, it’s very lightweight, and has sleeves that roll-up to button tabs, making it look feminine and fashionable.
What I like most about my Coolibar Travel shirt is that it has all of the sun protection I need, and it is machine washable. I can tumble dry it and not have to bother with line-drying or special care.
What does UPF rated apparel actually do? It helps protect your skin from painful sunburns and sun damage. Be sure to check the Hiking Lady article on UPF Sun Protection to learn more. UPF rated fabrics only allow a fraction of harmful rays to pass through.
This Coolibar Travel shirt is rated UPF 50+, which means that only 1/50th or 2% of harmful sun rays are even able to pass through the fabric. This is far better than a UPF 15 rated top, where 6.7% of harmful rays could pass through. A typical shirt is between a 5 to 8 UPF rating, so if you are going hiking and want to keep your skin healthy, then you’ll need highly rated UPF apparel.

Hi Denise,
Great question. The Coolibar Travel shirt is 100% polyester, so it holds up decently to wrinkles, but will wrinkle a little. In my testing it has not wrinkled much. If you were to grab the sleeve and ball it up, it will hold small wrinkles.
Happy trails!
Nice looking shirt. How about wrinkles. I really hate clothes that I can’t get the wrinkles out of.
I agree with Bobbi C. I like to wear UPF 50 apparel when I hike as well.
Great looking and practical top.
The sun protection is so important to everyone today..
Thanks again for showing us the product.
