Are you ready for National Trails Day, Saturday June 6, 2015?
Outdoor enthusiasts are counting down the last week until the start of National Camping Month!
Thousand Trails, a leader in outdoor destinations, recreation and family camping, is offering a wide range of family-friendly activities all month long with extra events happening the weekend of National Trails Day. On June 6 all Thousand Trails properties will be hosting guided hikes, interactive games and outdoor activities throughout the weekend.
Sample activities happening across the nation on National Trails Day include:
- Forest Survival Workshop at Thousand Trails Chehalis in Chehalis, WA
- Pool side concert and Casino Night at Thousand Trails โ Wilderness Lakes in Menifee, CA
- Club Blazer Scavenger Hunt to find the Club Blazer Trail Team at Grandy Creek KOA/Thousand Trails in Concrete, WA
- Geocaching fun at Thousand Trails Orlando in Clermont, FL
- Music from Soul City Band at Roundout Valley Resort in Accord, NY
- Hiking Safety and Northwest Critter Recognition workshop at Mount Vernon Thousand Trails in Bow, WA
- Family outdoor movie at Thousand Trails San Benito in Paicines, CA
- Fossil hunting in the river at Thousand Trails Peace River in Wauchula, FL
Ongoing National Camping Month Activities include:
- Club Blazer Kids Club โ The Trail Team, led by Walker Wolf, will lead kids through a series of customized puzzles and activities to teach them about the properties, nature and how they can do their part to take care of the parks
- Walk the Trails Program โ Participants log their miles to earn reward pins
There are certainly a lot of fun activities going on this summer! Time to get outside!
