Despite the government shut down, some National Parks are re-opening! Several states have decided to pay the federal government in order to keep their iconic parks open!
- Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park
- New York’s Statue of Liberty
- Arizona’s Grand Canyon
- Utah – 8 federal properties will be open for 10 days: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Zion national parks. Also Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and the Cedar Breaks and Natural Bridges national monuments
Let’s hope that the rest of the National Parks open again soon.
Happy trails!
