In conjunction with the fantastic exhibit “Granite Frontiers: A Century of Yosemite Climbing” at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles, CA, there are several events that various groups are sponsoring. If you’re in the area, they’ll be fun things to check out!

July 11, 2009, 1:00pm-4:00pm: In-Gallery Anchoring Demonstrations
July 18, 2009, 9am-12 noon: REI is sponsoring a family hiking trip at Griffith Park, which is adjacent to the Autry Museum where the exhibit is being showcased.
July 19, 2009, 10am-2pm: Leave No Trace e-tour. Learn how to be responsible in the outdoors!
August 21, 2009, KCET Day at the Autry National Center. Free admission to the museum if you are a KCET member. You can get 2 free admission tickets per membership card.
August 22, 2009, 11am-5pm: Autry Outdoors Workshop day. REI instructors will teach intro rockclimbing basics, navigation, and self-rescue. Also Leave No Trace experts will be there.
September 19, 2009, 1:00pm-4:00pm: In-Gallery Anchoring Demonstrations
