Banff Mountain Film Festival is back!

Are you ready for some exciting short films loaded with amazing outdoor scenery of all the places we dream of exploring? The Banff Mountain Film Festival is again making their traveling circuit around the U.S. and Canada, with showings at local outdoor stores, colleges, etc. I can’t wait to see it!
Here’s the full schedule

Breathtaking Yosemite Footage

Since you are probably sitting in front of a computer right now and need some refreshing views of my favorite national park, take a moment and watch this amazing video of Yosemite. :)

The photographer did a time lapse collection of many of Yosemite’s remarkable features. Enjoy!

Amazing Video of Utah and Arizona Landscapes

I was checking out the Sierra Trading Post blog, and stumbled up this breathtaking time lapse video of landscapes in Arizona and Utah. Since I just returned from an amazing hiking trip to Arches National Park and Canyonlands near Moab, Utah, I thoroughly enjoyed watching this.

Be sure to click “Full Screen” in the lower right corner – it looks even more phenomenal!

New Planet Earth Series called LIFE coming out March 21

Discovery Channel LIFE SeriesI sure am looking forward to seeing this new series! If you enjoyed watching Discovery Channel’s Planet Earth, then I think you’re going to like LIFE too.

Just like how Planet Earth explored the amazing world we live in, LIFE will showcase our planet’s living things. Apparently there are 30 million animals and plants on Earth, so clearly the series can’t cover each and every one…

The series is narrated by Oprah Winfrey, and has some amazing camera footage due to new HD film-making techniques!

Check out the amazing preview on Discovery Channel’s website and look here for local TV showtimes of the first episode.
