What was Sir Edmund Hillary snacking on when he became the first man to summit Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world? Post Grape-Nuts! Cool fact, huh?!
In honor of the 60th anniversary of Edmund Hillary’s historic feat, Grape-Nuts is looking for participants to hike a nearby peak and distribute Grape-Nuts samples to fellow hikers. This is such a great opportunity that we want to make sure Hiking Lady readers sign up to participate!
How to Participate
Go to the Grape-Nuts website and apply to be a “Summit Sampler”. Fill out the application before April 19, 2013, and they’ll pick 60 people (yep that’s a lot of people!) to receive a Summit Sampler Kit.
What’s in the Summit Sampler Kit?
- A cool High Sierra daypack
- Grape-Nuts Fit cereal samples
- A high tech carabiner from Black Diamond Equipment
- A Camelbak Groove water bottle
- A t-shirt
- A summit flag! Yep, just like people hold up on Everest!
What’s more…Grape-Nuts will send some participants who submit photos of their local peak hike a $500 check! WOW!!!
Good luck Hiking Lady readers! I hope some of you are selected to be in the group of 60!
Happy trails!
