Dorcy LED Headlight

Dorcy LED headlight Headlamps are a must have for hiking, camping, and everyday use. Just last week my electricity went out at home, and luckily I have several great headlamps to choose from. I also have a lantern and various LED flashlights. Recently I’ve been testing a slightly lower cost headlamp, the Dorcy LED Headlight.

The Dorcy LED has three settings: a bright beam, moderate beam, and then a flashing beam for emergency situations. When I’m camping and backpacking, I prefer headlamps with a red option as well, which will preserve your night vision and let you and your friend continue star gazing and have enough light to avoid tripping over rocks and trees. A bright white beam will kill anyone’s night vision very quickly!

Despite the lack of a red light feature, the Dorcy LED is a good value, and it is one that I’ll be stashing in my emergency kit.

Product features:

  • LED light; 120 lumens. Definitely enough light to cast a strong beam 100+ feet in front of you.
  • Three Power Settings. I really like this feature. It enables you to preserve battery life when you don’t need super bright light.
  • Batteries included! Very few headlamps include batteries with purchase, adding even more to the cost. Dorcy makes it a good value.

Specs:

  • Requires 3 AAA batteries, included
  • Weight: 2.9 ounces
  • Dimensions: 2.75 inches by 1.5 inches
  • List Price: $24.99
