Have you been on a hike and stumbled across a gorgeous meadow filled with wildflowers? Want to know where to go to have an experience like that?
Bob Gibbons’ new book, Wildflower Wonders, is the ultimate guide to seeing the most beautiful wild flowerings on the planet! In it, he details 50 locations across the continents, ranging from some familiar places in North America like my personal favorite, the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve, to more exotic bloomings in South Africa, Australia and beyond. The book is filled with full color photographs of each area, describing the best times to go and information on the various wildflower species seen at each of these special sites.
During my hikes, I take the time to appreciate gorgeous natural scenery, and I have had the privilege of stumbling across some breathtaking wild flower displays, generally high in the California mountains. I really enjoyed reading and gazing at the pictures of these unique natural places in this book. It provides the reader inspiration to explore these beautiful and diverse areas.
My next dream trip? The Lake Garda Mountains in Italy sound amazing, and the pictures of the wildflowers are breathtaking!
