The female hiking character in many of the cartoons is named Boots, and is based on Geolyn’s years of hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Thanks so much for the post. Wonderful cartoon. I have noticed that as I get older my feet are the weak link with regard to my hiking experiences. So, I can empathize with the cartoon. A good laugh to start the morning.
