Marmot Venus Jacket
The Marmot Venus Jacket is a very high quality product, with 800 fill down, meaning that it will pack down very small, but provide a tremendous amount of warmth. The higher the fill, the smaller the down will pack down, the lighter weight it will be, and the warmer you’ll be! Down fill ratings 700 and 800 are very good.
Because Marmot designed this jacket for women (sometimes you’ll find that outdoor apparel for women is just men’s versions shrunk down), it has a more tailored cut and fits a woman’s body. Another feature I like about my Marmot Venus jacket are the zippered handwarmer pockets – they have soft fabric on the inside and keep my hands toasty when stargazing or watching a sunrise.
