Out of the Blue Sun Reader Sunglasses

Out of the Blue Sun Reader Sunglasses

How often are you hiking and you need to take a look at your map, but have to spend time fumbling around to find reading glasses? The eyewear company Out of the Blue has a solution to this very common problem – the Sun Readers! These are sunglasses that have built in bifocals.

Why I Like Out of the Blue Sun Readers

  • Double functionality. I am always looking for products that can serve multiple functions, and in this case these glasses definitely do that – no need to bring along reading glasses if you have a pair of Sun Readers.
  • UVA and UVB sun protection. As to be expected in any pair of decent sunglasses, the Sun Readers offer 100% UVA and UVB protection, the most important thing I look for when shopping for sunglasses.
  • Reasonably priced. These sunglasses range in price from $14-$49, with many in the $22 range. That’s a good price for a pair of high quality sunglasses that are also reading glasses!
  • Various styles. There are a wide variety of styles, some which are great for hiking and active outdoor sports, and others that are very fashionable for a day in town. My personal favorites are the Willie Bifocals, which have a small rubberized nose pad that prevents slippage during outdoor sports.
