Did you know that 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service?
Many of us hikers cherish the U.S. National Park system because of the access to stunning natural landmarks, the beautiful great outdoors, and innumerable hikes! I came across a special celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service put together by the Auto Club (AAA), that has amazing historic photographs of the roads that AAA helped map to get travelers between national parks.
Additionally, the AAA website has loads of detailed information about various U.S. National Parks that will help you plan your next trip! What are two of the best national parks for stargazing? And learn more about one of my personal favorites…the Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park!
